Our guided Eco-Tours are the best way to explore the creek, providing a unique insight into the waterway and wildlife. Tours are offered daily at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM during the season.  Sunrise and Sunset tours are available by appointment. We also offer stand up paddle board (SUP) yoga on Thursday mornings. All of our tours are led by experienced paddlers with extensive knowledge of the waterways, wildlife, and history of the Maryland Coastal Bays. We feature new top of the line equipment including comfortable kayaks and canoes, adjustable paddles, and approved Type III personal flotation devices. All of our tours begin with a safety overview and basic paddling instruction. Our small group size ensures maximum enjoyment for all paddlers. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to a scheduled tour to be outfitted for the tour.

Embodied SUP


Enter another world as you pass under the Ayers Creek Bridge to explore the calm waters and diverse salt marshes of this pristine Creek. You will truly feel as if you have entered another world as you wind through the labyrinth of marshes with many small guts and tributaries to explore. Observe bald eagles, ducks, osprey, heron, gulls, and many other species of birds. Family friendly. Calm waters. Appropriate for all levels of paddlers. Approximately 2 hours.

This hands-on tour is perfect for families and school groups. Explore the headwaters of Ayers Creek as we paddle through the marshes and forested wetlands comprising the headwaters of Ayers Creek. Learn about the ecology, history, and wildlife of this unique eco-system. Observe the abundant wildlife and diverse habitats as you quietly paddle this beautiful waterway.

Family friendly. Sheltered from wind and waves. An ideal paddle for beginner or pro. Approximately 1.5 hours.

With Post Paddle Bonfire

Join us for this enchanting and unique paddle where you will experience the surreal beauty of Maryland’s coastal waterways in a whole new light. Depart at sunset to enjoy a peaceful paddle to a bald eagle nesting area as we watch the sunset and the full moon rise over the water. Drift quietly over the calm water for a front row seat as dozens of native birds jostle for their nightly roost. Join us for a post paddle bonfire while the moon rises majestically over the creek. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks to enjoy around the bonfire. We provide the fixins for the s'mores. Adults only tour

Sunset offers a spectacular show as the sun slowly disappears beyond the horizon painting the sky with vibrant shades of orange and red. Experience sunset from a whole new perspective as you paddle the calm waters of Ayers Creek. Available most evenings with advance request. Reservations Required.

A meeting time will be provided when making your reservation. Please arrive on time in order to be outfitted for your tour and to receive basic paddling instructions and a safety overview. Appropriate for all levels including first-time paddlers.

What better way to enjoy an Ocean City sunrise than from a kayak. Join us for a spectacular show as the sun peeps over the horizon painting the sky with beautiful shades of pink, orange and blue. Experience the sunrise from a whole new perspective as you paddle the calm waters of Ayers Creek. Relish the beauty of your surroundings as the herons, egrets, osprey, and shorebirds begin their day. 

Arrive 30 minutes before Sunrise – Scheduled on Request.  Tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Reservations required. Appropriate for all levels including first-time paddlers.

E-SUP classes begin June 20 and continue through September 12, 2024, please call to confirm attendance.

(September classes are from 9:15 - 10:45)

E_SUP is the perfect workout to combine fun, fitness, and mindfulness on the water. Classes include an introduction to stand up paddle boarding, SUPing the Creek, and an all levels on water yoga class. Our calm water location makes this the perfect venue for all levels of paddlers and yoga practices. Reservations Required 443-513-0889. Private and group sessions available by appointment

Team Building


Introduce your students to one of Maryland’s greatest treasures. The back bays and creeks of Maryland’s Eastern Shore are truly stunning and provide the perfect backdrop for hands-on environmental education and science. At Ayers Creek Adventures we provide combined educational and recreational programs for students of all ages. Land based games and discussions set the stage for a fun and informative kayaking experience. A day with Ayers Creek Adventures will provide your students with an increased appreciation of coastal waterways and an awareness of:

  • Coastal ecology and geomorphology

  • Water quality trends

  • Terrestrial habitats and wildlife

  • Fisheries science

  • Sea level rise

Your students will take away an understanding of their impact on the environment and ideas on how they can be better stewards of the earth. Ayers Creek Adventures can arrange programs for as few as 5 to as many as 50 students. Age-specific programs ranging from 2 hours to a full day will be designed with your specific goals and timeframes in mind.

Ayers Creek Adventures is located along scenic Ayers Creek just minutes from Ocean City, Assateague Island, and historic Berlin, MD.

No experience is necessary. All equipment is provided by Ayers Creek Adventures.


Paddling activities are a great way to foster collaboration… Ayers Creek Adventures offers facilitated team building in a fun and casual environment.  We have completed team building training and have over 20 years of team and consensus building experience.  All programs customized to meet your organization’s unique objectives with a combination of both land and water based activities.
